Earliest phone call

Today it is commonplace to make cheap phone calls from any landline or mobile phone. We are used to be able to call anybody at any time of day. On top it does not really matter where we call to: cheap international telephony!

But did you know that the English Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone? The first phone call that was clearly understandable was carried out by him in Boston, Massachusetts, in March 1876, when he called his assistant and said: ‘Come here Watson, I want you’
